Welcome to my updated list of What’s Vegan at Baker’s Delight! This list now contains literally every product that is vegan at Baker’s Delight and best yet they’re palm oil free! Thanks to Bronny from Palm Oil Free Vegan Living for info and support. There are only very few products that may contain palm oil in the list, all of which are in the Sweet section and clearly labelled as such!
There are 155 Vegan Baker’s Delight products listed only 6 of which may contain palm oil!!!
Please see the Baker’s Delight Website for full ingredient information. They also have a handy “vegan” label underneath each product if it’s vegan HOWEVER they have gotten it wrong a few times so it’s best to look over the ingredients list fully before purchasing or of course simply use this list here!!!
I have tried hard not to include identical listings so please see separate categories below if you are looking for something specific. There are White, Grain, Artisan, Savoury, Fruit and Sweet categories below, if something you’re looking for could be in more than one category then please see ALL listings below.

still go organic, gluten free ideally, someone should quiz them about gmo, they were on gmo list, use gmo wheat so imported or maybe its gmo corn soy from out in the wild west of WA gmo.
Organic is best however gluten free doesn't necessarily mean healthier. As for GM, Baker's Delight states: "We can advise that none of our products contain genetically modified ingredients including our wheat. We work closely with our suppliers to ensure that all ingredients supplied to Bakers Delight comply with the Food Standards Australia New Zealand Code."
I Just checked there website http://www.bakersdelight.com.au and every single product listed above has the clause below the ingredients that states: May Contain: Egg, Milk, Tree Nuts, Sesame Seeds
Bakers Delight are not a Vegan Friendly company while they may make some products that have no animal products in the ingredients list they do not care about cross contamination between there different products at best Bakers Delight have Vegetarian options in there range
Everything is cross contaminated… (Pretty much impossible not to come across vegan food without particles of something from an animal) , and clearly bakers delight are vegan friendly if they do produce vegan products… it’s just like saying “I’m not gonna shop at Woolworths because they sell meat”
That is a standard allergen/cross contamination disclaimer that can be found on a wide variety of products that are vegan.
I certainly wouldn't say that Luke. Most companies that make vegan food will list that it may contain: "whatever" on their packages. This is allergy advice only. They do not put this in their food it was just made on the same equipment. You'd be hard pressed to eat from only totally vegan companies. I for one do not know of a single person who has accomplished this.
I asked baker’s delight at endeavour hills shop and the lady printed out a docket and only one bread loaf was vegan!
Good on you Baker’s Delight. I love your products.
This post has been uber helpful!! There was things on this list that I didn’t know I needed in my life until now. I appreciate the time you took to write this post!! Thank you <3
It would seem logical to remove the products that “may contain palm oil” from this list. Including them discredits the list considering the title and photo of Orangutans
The jam bunlet is not listed as vegan on their website; curious if you have contacted them about this? They do respond well.
They have mislabeled products in the past (both labeling a product as vegan when it wasn’t and not labeling vegan products as vegan)
So happy to see so many vegan friendly options at Baker’s Delight. Be awesome if palm oil was never used though.
I have worked at bakers delight for the past 4 years and the traditional fruit loaves and buns are NOT vegan. Everyone seems to always have this confused – the ingredients list the cinnamon chips used in processing contain milk solids
I have bought the blueberry teatime before after checking the printed ingredients list. Is there a problem with it?
Hi everyone, obviously this list needs a few small updates. Will let you know when that has been done.
Thanks
I just walked out of Bakers Delight a few minutes ago. Staff told me the coconut icing on the long buns and Boston buns contains LARD. Not vegan.
You can check out the full list of ingredients on the Bakers Delight website. Franchises should not be making them any different. Here are the ingredients for the Boston bun.
Wheat Flour, Boston Icing [Icing Sugar (Sucrose, Tapioca Starch), Vegetable Shortening (Vegetable Fats And Oils, Emulsifier (435, 471 Canola), Antioxidant (307b Soy), Flavour), Flavour), Fruit (Sultanas, Currants), Desiccated Coconut (Coconut, Preservative (220)], Yeast, Vegetable Oil (Canola Oil, Cotton Seed Oil), Sugar, Iodised Salt, Glaze [Glucose/ Fructose Syrup, Sugar, Gelling Agent (440, 407, 415), Flavour], Soy Flour, Vitamins (Folic Acid, Thiamin).
May Contain: Egg, Milk, Tree Nuts, Sesame Seeds
** Percentage daily intakes are based on an average adult diet of 8700 kJ. Your daily intakes may be higher or lower depending on your energy needs.
Suitable for vegans.
The coconut icing is vegan.
Now I’m confused! My local bakers delight said that all the fruit loaves had cinnamon and that they had milk solids in them…!
PLEASE MAKE YOUR CHOCOLATE SCONES VEGAN.
I MISS THEM SO MUCH.
IT WON’T HURT ANYONE! EVERYONE CAN EAT VEGAN!
THANK YOU
You may be palm oil free, but what about canola oil free. Do you know the history of canola oil and the poison that it is???
