Yay! This Saturday, 1st October, 2011 is AACT’s (Against Animal Cruelty Tasmania’s) AnimalFest. Held on Parliament Lawns Hobart from 9am – 3pm, the event is in celebration of all animals! There will be live music, art, activities for the kids and guest speakers, plus vegan food! YUM!
Musical guests include: Daideo and the Blue Mosquito’s, Greentease, Yyan and McDougall, John Gallagher and Cows With Guns.
Guest Speakers are: Anne Boxhall (Dogs Home), Greg Irons (Bonorong Wildlife Park), Craig Webb (Raptor Refuge), Karen Bevis (Vegetarian Tasmania) and Emma Haswell (Brightside Farm Sanctuary).
Lots of fun activities and things to see and do for children and families while being inspired to make a difference to the lives of animals. Please come along and support the event!

Vegan Tasmania Updates:
A list of upcoming events have now been added to the website. They will feature on the top of the right sidebar from now on. They will be updated regularly so keep coming back to find out what Vegan and animal friendly events are being held near you!
I have just updated the website with a new page! Alcohol! There you will find everything you need to know about what alcohols are and are not vegan! So far I have a very extensive list of beers. Wines and other alcohols to come shortly! Please check the list. I will be updating it regularly and am in the process of adding more Australian and Tasmanian brands to the list.
